Sports & Games Facilities @ VITAM
Sports and games are not only about competing and winning medals, but also about the refreshment, joy and enjoyment of having fun with “just playing” theme. Sport is something that brings together one and all with fun and excitement. Games and sports are the structured activities, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes used as an educational tool. Games are distinct from work, which is usually carried out for remuneration and from art, which is more concerned with the expression of ideas.
With support from all stakeholders VITAM and its green campus provides facility for conducting number of games and sports. VITAM is having a huge football-cum-cricket ground with having athletic track to conduct outdoor sports.
Presently, Mr. Pradipta Kumar Das is In-charge for all the activities related to Sports & Games at VITAM.
VITAM is also having basketball, badminton, volleyball and long-tennis courts.
Apart from outdoor games, VITAM is having facilities for regular indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess and few others.
The students and staffs are provided with sports materials for a limited period on issue/return basis from the office of the sports secretary of the Institute
Throughout the year VITAM organizes different sport events, both for student and staffs for providing refreshment and enjoyment from the routine activities of the Institute.
