Hostel

Vignan Institute of Technology and Management (VITAM), Berhampur, is a residential-cum-day scholar institute that provides comfortable accommodation facilities for students opting to reside on campus. The residential facilities comprise well-furnished Boys’ and Girls’ Hostel, designed to provide a safe, disciplined, and homely environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Each hostel functions as an independent administrative unit under the overall supervision of the  Wardens and the Hostel & Institute Management. A Warden, appointed by the Director/Dean, oversees the administration, assisted by an Assistant Warden when required.

Every hostel has a Hostel Council, an advisory body comprising elected student representatives. The Council coordinates hostel activities, plans the annual schedule for indoor games, recreation, and cultural events, and assists in maintaining discipline and harmony among residents.

The Hostel Office, located within each hostel, is managed by an Office Manager and an Attender, who support the Warden in day-to-day administrative and operational matters. The office maintains all essential records, including resident registers, financial ledgers, staff attendance, and mess-related documentation.

With its well-managed infrastructure, active student participation, and committed supervision, VITAM ensures a comfortable and secure residential experience for its students.
