At Vignan Institute of Technology and Management (VITAM), Berhampur, sports and games are viewed not merely as competitions but as essential activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and development. They foster joy, refreshment, and camaraderie among students and staff, aligning with the Institute’s vision of nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The green and spacious campus of VITAM provides excellent facilities for a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports activities. The Institute boasts a large football-cum-cricket ground equipped with an athletic track for various outdoor events. In addition, dedicated courts are available for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and lawn tennis.

For indoor recreation, the Institute offers facilities for table tennis, carom, chess, and other games, encouraging participation and friendly competition among students. Sports materials are issued to students and staff on a loan basis from the Office of the Sports Secretary.

Throughout the year, VITAM organizes numerous sports meets and tournaments for both students and staff, promoting a spirit of enthusiasm, discipline, and teamwork within the campus community.
