Students’ Grievance Cell @ VITAM
Grievance cell was opened on 10th October 2012, and is headed by Prof.(Dr.) M.B.N.V. Prasad (Dean - VITAM). The function of the Students’ Grievance cell is to look into the complaints, harassment and any problems lodged by any student, and judge its merit. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the Department Head(s), Dean or/and Director who are the faculty member of the Students’ Grievance Cell. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, institute entertains student to drop his/her grievances in writing at the letter-box/ suggestion-box or to the concern faculty/management bodies at Administrative Block. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer in-charge of Students’ Grievance Cell. The objective of the Grievance Cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute. VITAM's Grievance Cell also address the following issues and takes quick and favorable steps: Academic Matters: Related to timely issue of Mark-sheets, Transfer Certificates, Conduct Certificates or other examination/course related matters. Financial Matters: Related to dues and payments for various items from library, hostels, hostel-mess etc. Other Matters: Related to certain misgivings about conditions of sanitation, preparation of food, availability of transport, victimization by seniors, ragging etc.
